Vice Letter from the Vice President

CTA Members,
As many of you know, Dave Haggist is taking time off from his duties as CTA President to tend to
his wife Barbara, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. Please keep the Haggist family in your prayers.
In addition to a Club Hunt this October, the Board approved holding an October Club Shoot as well. (Note: Charles Suttles is promising an “unforgettable meal for this event.) We hope that you will take time out from bow hunting to attend this Shoot. Think of it as a mid-season tune-up for your bow hunting accuracy!
Another notable change is that our November Shoot will be a night-time Coon Shoot only. So now you can hunt that Saturday during the peak of the rut, and still have fun Saturday night! Our work party has also been moved out of deer season to January. Out of deference to the adjacent deer-hunting landowner, we’ve agreed to stay out of the woods before 9am or after 3pm till dark during the deer hunting season.
Lastly, it’s time to nominate yourself or others for the offices of President, Vice-President, and
three members of the Board, which we will vote on in February. We’re also looking for someone to take the position of Secretary, which is an appointed position.
