From its humble beginnings in the
early 80's to its current status as the largest traditional archery club
in North Carolina, the Carolina Traditional Archers have been
keeping the traditions alive.
The Carolina Traditional Archers are
about promoting traditional archery and bow hunting.
Each month, CTA hosts a 3D shoot for
traditional archery enthusiasts. Participants shoot a 20 target course
that consist of foam targets that exactly duplicate game animals placed in
realistic hunting settings. A meal is also served. These shoots are open
to members and visitors, and first time visitors shoot and eat for free.

year during the Memorial Day weekend and attracts archers from all across
the southeast. It includes a two, twenty 3D target ranges, traditional
vendors, novelty shoots, free camping, home cooked meals, restrooms and
hot showers.
Trophies are awarded for men, women and youth in longbow, recurve and
primitive classes. Click on the State Championship button for more

CTA is always looking for new
members. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned veteran we would welcome
the opportunity to share the enjoyment of the traditional archer with you.
